A Thousand Runs In May?
« on: May 10, 2017, 10:18:55 PM »
This is one of the great feats in cricket and is rarely achieved.

Today Gary Ballance scored 152 not out to take his May total so far to 862 in all competitions.

He still has 21 days of May to go.

Barbar:

Hi Barbar you are not meant to take offence with my comment:
"Wots cricket?  ??? Thought it was a grasshopper that turned viral."
It is a provocation for you to come back with some witty reply.
Not too serious but just something like:
"Well Q it involves a wooden bat and a leather (?) ball, sometimes they are pink these days...........
you hit the ball with your bat, not the person who actually threw the ball at you, then you run like hell....."

:)

Ever had a feeling of deja vu?

It is what cricket does to me :D

"I think I have seen this before".

They don't even put sponsorship on the bats!

Well they are not bats correctly as they don't have latin names and classifications, a referral to some absurd nonsense I came out with recently.
What do you expect I love Frank Zappa! Bless his memory and you come here with a name so long none of us are capable of spelling it. :D

The peops here are just getting used to me after about 10 years and you come here talking about cricket!!!!

They will be reaching for medication.

BTW your OP "A thousand runs in May" is this a reference to a porn movie I haven't seen when Teresa took part in a gangbang movie?  ???

He loves it Mac.

I do.

I also know an obscene amount about why a cricket ball will swing or not.

Which is hugely frustrating because I could never ever get it to swing when I played.
