Just back from seeing The Commitments (in the theatre - it's touring).

Just watched the movie. It's an Alan Parker film.

So is The Wall, Midnight Express, Bugsy Malone, Angel Heart...

Absolute genius all of them.

1. Did he ever make a bad film?

2. Why ain't there more of them?

He bought my mum a drink once.

Some film club she and my dad were part of, he visited to speak about his films.
