Well I'll be...

I was 9 when it came out and it was heavily advertised on the TV. At the time David Essex was a big star and I wanted to see it but it was X rated (I think) so that was that.

The closest I got to seeing it for years was owning the soundtrack double LP and it was there that I first heard Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit.

It's a good film and much grittier than you might expect but the soundtrack LP is blindingly good and the band (Jim Maclaine and the Stray Cats) they put together for the film (Keith Moon, Dave Edmunds amongst them) was pretty tasty too. Sadly their songs seem to be lost/forgotten.

It was a very good film, love it every time I watch it.
