Its not local to me, but I found all aspects of this story funny...

Live chicken thrown at KFC staff in Nuneaton

Quote
A live hen was thrown through the open window of a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant in Warwickshire.

RSPCA inspectors say they want to speak to the two men who approached the restaurant in Bermuda Park, Nuneaton, on a moped on Tuesday evening.

A third man filmed the pair and the footage has since appeared on the internet.

Inspector Helen Smith, from the RSPCA, said the bird was not harmed but did suffer some distress.

She said: "It's just completely irresponsible to abandon an animal in this way."

The RSPCA is now looking for a new home for the hen, which it has named Mrs Sanders.

Proud dad boasts the achievement of youngest daughter  :)

The improvement in Cartwheels’ Ofsted rating since its last report five years ago is largely due to the staff’s commitment to improving their qualifications and the support from its qualified teacher, said day care manager Faye Anderson.

Kent News: Autopsy table stolen from Kent hospital

Quote
An autopsy table and defibrillators were just some of the items reported stolen by hospitals in Kent and Sussex.

Equipment stolen from the Maidstone and Kent and Sussex hospitals included a security camera, a toilet seat and a car park ticket machine.

East Sussex Hospitals reported £14,784 worth of equipment lost or taken in 2009-10 including a £6,000 patient monitor and lead from a hospital roof.

The hospitals were responding to a BBC Freedom of Information (FOI) request.
Computers, oil and pillows

The Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust reported property worth £18,850 as stolen or lost between June 2004 and January 2011.

Gail Spinks, from the trust, said: "The trust runs three hospital sites and equipment is frequently moved between these sites.

"Occasionally equipment is not tracked to the right destination and becomes 'missing' though still on trust premises."

Since 2004, the trust has recorded the theft of 27 computers and laptops from its hospitals.

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals reported the thefts of a £500 fetal aid monitor, computer hard drives and £900 worth of heating oil in the 2009-10 financial year.

The autopsy table was stolen from the East Kent Hospitals which also reported thefts of computers, CD and DVD players and pillows.

Did Tempka Uhtok really steal Tsozkoj Friuloks yak bull?

The debate hots up in Uhtok Khalk village and police have now ridden as far as neighbouring villages in their search for both bull and miscreant.

Who does Uhtok think he is, a furious Tsozkoj asked this reporter, Chengis Chan?
Uhtok is planning to make the epic 300 km journey south to Ulan Bator to protest about this and other Un Mongol like activities that have plagued the village in recent years.......
