Manchester City set to make ?96m move for Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic - report

Quote
Manchester City have offered Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic an enormous four-year contract worth about ?500,000-a-week, according to reports.

The Sweden international would become the highest-paid player in the world, making ?24 million-a-year, significantly more than football superstars Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka.

 :o

I've never particularly rated Ibrahimovic, looked lazy whenever I saw him play, but even if he was the best player in the world, ?500k a week!?!? That's just ridiculous.......although I wouldn't be suprised if he still said no  ;D

i imagine the transfer market will really kick off over the next week or two - especially if milner does go to city.

i think spurs are just waiting to see if they make the CL group stages as well.

Yaya Spurs, good luck.

Left wondering at the end of the game wether it's a good idea to allow a Ref's brother to be a linesman in the same match. Can see all sorts of problems with that.

Emmanuel Adebayor warns Man City he could quit club

Hardly surprising that with so many top flight players in their squad, if they don't get games, they'll want to move on to a club where they get to play more.
