...no one has mentioned the royal wedding yet.

So, let me lower the standard, let the side down and be the first to bring up this hideous gargantuan non event, that is the wedding of Harry and that American actor. I can't be arsed to Google her name. I know it's Megan something.

Folks are speculating about a spring wedding in Windsor.

Between now and then I expect the BBC will be all over this like the fucking measles, but what bad news can we expect the government to be burying throughout?

Of course the BBC will be all over this like it or not it's a 'big thing' for some

and the Americans will lap it up as a fairy-tale and the dollars will flow :)

Announced November; Wedding planned early in the New Year.

Been caught has she? Got to get the wedding in before she's showing, p'r'aps?

Or is the government is desperate trouble?

Hang out the fucking bunting.

(And I did mention it yesterday. Shows what notice people pay to me.)

A Catholic?
A Divorcee?
Mixed race?
An ‘actress’?
An American?
I imagine the Duke of Edinburgh has been gagged with masking tape.

‘Gotcha’ (yes,, could be up the spout)

No need for the quotes around actress. She's definitely one of them. No doubt about it.

Perhaps he has gone so senile that he is not remotely bothered by any of these happenings.

That would explain why he "retired" from public life.

Every time I hear the name Meaghan Markle I have visions of a 6' 5" South African fast bowler pinging a cricket ball down at 90 mph.

I can't be the only one, surely?

Just about.
She was a box carrier on the TV show ‘Deal or No Deal’
Then, a minor player in a soap.
My quotes would be her occupation from the D of E’s perspective.

Acres and acres of drivel in most of the press.
The Dianafascisti are out in force.
As well as the usual loonies who have a collective orgasm at the thought of a Royal Wedding.

To be fair it's not exactly is soap (Suits claims to be a legal drama) and she has a fairly substantial role.

On this we agree. The whole concept of royalty is stupid.

[if the couple had children] “the Windsors will thicken their watery, thin blue blood and Spencer pale skin and ginger hair with some rich and exotic DNA” - Rachel Johnson.

Does anybody else find this a rather chilliing and uncomfortable thing to read?

I'm definitely left with the feeling that the real import is the polar opposite of the words used.

Caught? Perhaps, at 36? When did they spend 5 days at it in Botswana?

We are giving them a lovely wedding present. Refurbishment of a 21 room apartment in Kensington Place.

I would never deny a couple their happiness they find with each other.
I would, however, prefer to hear of one perhaps two other good news stories in the media.
A reduction in homelessness and a reduction in poverty.

The ‘Guardian’ is also going into orgiastic overdrive at the empowerment given to mixed race people by one marrying into the Royal Family.
I can hardly keep up.

A role which she can give up at the drop of a hat when something substantially better turns up.

"Caught" = "fertillised" (in this context).

Never heard that before?

Yeah, I'm sure it'll make a huge difference to black people everywhere. Just like Obama did.
