:) decent implies expensive

Can I ask why they need to be ear plug...

Do they need any noise cancellation

what is your budget? (this is the important bit)

Do they have to be ear plug?

Nic

Thanks Nic, I had a cheap mp3 player but have misplaced it. It had earplugs which worked very well. This player though has a different style with clear plastic earplugs rather than the former's black foam on the speaker. Being 52 I would feel awkward with proper headphones out in public hence more discrete earplugs. The player only cost £20 and I would only be using it infrequently. So really best value for money rather than hi end.

NP I always struggle with in ear types as I don't have the ear shape to hold them in correctly :)

But these are good

https://www.amazon.co.uk/SoundMAGIC-E10-Earphones-Silver-Black/dp/B005HP3OB0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1506943258&sr=8-2&keywords=soundmagic+e10c

These are Very good but can freak people out as they also act as noise cancellation devices and can be unnerving when using as you simply can't hear other sounds around you BUT they sound fantastic because of this

http://www.hifiheadphones.co.uk/etymotic-mc5-in-ear-isolating-earphones.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwx8fOBRD7ARIsAPVq-Nn-rZi-9nBXqNUftNOGOh53IakKQVJTGoGHKYTORQ21idNHcKEn-g0aAn0mEALw_wcB

But if it's normal headphones then these are fantastic

https://www.audiovisualonline.co.uk/product/29191/grado-egrado-blue-portable-headphones&utm_source=Froogle&utm_campaign=Froogle&utm_content=GRAD-GR0004-EGRADO?gclid=Cj0KCQjwx8fOBRD7ARIsAPVq-NkWZnCmwO7u2Cfjbn0hY_wFKqdaxuB51M76ZaXumJG6K-Vz7rFram8aArF0EALw_wcB

But they are open back so everyone can hear what you are listening to.

But as it's me I will also recommend

http://www.highendheadphones.co.uk/stax-srs-002-in-earspeaker-system (a portable set of electrostatic headphones)

or

https://www.audeze.com/products/isine-series/isine20-ear-headphone (magneplanar headphones)

 :)
