You haven't asked about our resident Islamophobe. I debated about this with him once and his position is basically that the Rohingya ate militant "Islamists" who deserve what they're getting.

Thanks, Plandalet.
I am just amazed that after all the genuflecting and sycophancy when she came here, there is now a deafening silence.
These poor souls are/were second class citizens and are now being massacred.
My heart goes out etc.
Terrible and reported suffering.

That will be a long list, care to be specific.

The latest violence follows an attack by Rohingya insurgents on police posts in the remote region, prompting a huge military crackdown.

Sorry but military crackdown is a euphemism. It's full on collective punishment of the kind the Nazis used to carry out whenever their military forces got attacked.

Are you denying that is what's happening or are you simply showing your true colours by making it clear to everyone you don't give a shit about civilians being subject to collective punishment as long as it's Muslims on the receiving end?

Not my argument simply highlighting a part of the report

But no negus I care little for those who want to implement Sharia (as these people do) and I do support those who fight against it's forced imposition.

But false equivalence won't wash with me as I am aware of the issue on the ground.

I'm glad you've made it clear you support rape, decapitation and ethnic cleansing as long as it's sharia supporting Muslims being subject to this. Glad that any doubt about your opinions has been made clear.

I'm probably on that list!
But I'm also a Catholicphobe, a Seventh Day Adventistphobe, a Hinduphobe and et al phobe.

Certainly 'collective' punishment.
Tens of thousands of Muslims (BBC)
Bit like what Netanyahu's response to the odd rocket.
Wholly disproportionate.
